My friends know that I've had online businesses since 2005. Every so often,

straightforward with my answer regarding this
matter. Based on my experience and without a
doubt,
reliability or minimal downtime is the most
important factor to consider when choosing a web
hosting service.
When you have an online business or plan to
manage
multiple websites, the last
thing you would like to have is an unreliable
web hosting service. I have heard and read
countless horror stories about certain web
hosting services that experienced unacceptable
periods of downtime. Such incidences are
definitely frustrating for site owners. Why?
It's because these downtimes can result to
significant amounts of lost sales and profits
for your online business, aside from having to
deal with aggravated customers. This is a
situation that I definitely try to avoid. I do
not know about you but I personally would rather
avoid this kind of headache.

natural follow-up question that I get is ...

recommend to people who are looking for a
reliable web hosting service?" These days, with
all the new and cheap web hosting services being
introduced in the market, it really has become
very confusing for potential website owners to
decide on which service to use. There are just

tell my friends that of all the web hosting
services that I have used or currently using,
the web hosting service that I would highly
recommend based on reliability is
1and1. I have been using 1and1 web hosting

have been very satisfied with this web hosting
service. I host a couple of sites on 1and1
and have had no issues whatsoever with its
reliability and uptime record.

Keep in mind that having the cheapest price does
not necessarily correlate to reliability for
some of the other web hosting services in the
market. Sure, it can be very enticing to see
offers for very cheap hosting services and
domain registration fees. However, you should
exercise caution with some of these web hosting
services cause you might eventually be paying a
price (too much downtimes, sub-par services,
lack of technical support, technical glitches,
etc.) for such excessively cheap services.
With 1and1,
I know that reliability has never been an issue
for me, which really gives me peace of mind. In
addition, being able to get domains at the
cheapest and most affordable prices is
definitely a bonus. I am definitely getting more
bang for my dollar.

A third factor that is worth noting about 1and1
is the ease of use of the various features on
the site. I find the site's structure and other
features relatively easier to use and more
intuitive than other web hosting services that I
have used. For example, if you have
multiple domains to manage, some web hosting
services will require you to have a primary site
folder for your first domain and then have your
other domains housed in subfolders within this
primary folder. Believe me, this can be very
confusing, most especially when you are
uploading your sites. For 1and1, the structure
is very simple since each domain will be housed
in its own folder and not as a subfolder within
a primary domain.
Lastly, and not to be forgotten is technical
support.
1and1 technical support people are some of
the most patient and knowledgeable people that I
have dealt with. I find them really very
courteous, helpful, and willing to assist with
any issues that I have experienced. 1and1
technical support is also available to help 24
hours a day, 7 days a week. So if you have any
questions or need some help even at 2:00 in the
morning, simply call them.
